Are all sessions online?
Yes. All sessions are held online, so you can meet with Jackie or Elias from home or wherever you feel comfortable.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, for therapy with Jackie for residents of Tennessee and Florida. We accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Cigna, Oscar, Oxford Health Plans, UHC Student Resources, UMR, UnitedHealthcare and EAP plans, plus HSA and FSA cards. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
Do I have to live in a certain state?
Only if you are using insurance, in which case you must live in Tennessee or Florida. Location does not matter for Christian counseling, life coaching or any self-pay session.
What is the difference between therapy and Christian counseling?
Therapy with Jackie works on the deeper underlying causes of mental and emotional struggles. Christian counseling with Elias applies the Word of God to counseling techniques to help you change your beliefs and move forward. Compare services.
What happens in the first session?
Before you meet you'll complete an intake questionnaire and brief screenings. In the first session you'll talk about what brought you in, explore your concerns and decide what you want to work toward, in a safe and nonjudgmental space.
Do you offer sessions in Spanish or Portuguese?
Yes, Elias counsels in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
